Queen Elizabeth II officially reached 70 years of service in the Commonwealth on Feb. 6, 2022. This made her the first British monarch to ever celebrate at Platinum Jubilee, honoring the 70th anniversary of her succession to the throne. In order to celebrate, the Commonwealth threw a massive, four-day celebration from June 2 to June 5, 2022. The events of the weekend included a massive concert, the annual. Trooping the Colour celebration, various parades and more. Months after celebrating her time as the longest reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth died at age 96 on September 8, 2022.
